Background

The collection pays homage to CD Projekt’s legendary work in the gaming world. The wooden boxes are inspired by iconic elements from classic games, from portraits of game characters to unique map motifs, all rendered with exquisite craftsmanship. Each wooden box is released in a limited edition to honor these great works, leaving gamers with a timeless collection in their hands.

Process

At the beginning, we thought that this was just an ordinary wooden box, but during the development process, the client considered making some bold changes to this product, such as adapting for the first time hardware used in the home improvement industry to a wooden box. This innovative decision breathed new life and possibilities into the project. By combining home improvement hardware with a co-branded wooden box for gaming, we managed to merge elements from two different fields to create a unique and amazing product.

What is even more exciting is that we have made a breakthrough in the damping feel of opening and closing the wooden box. This technological breakthrough not only brings a smoother experience of using the wooden box, but also brings a new interactive feeling to the players. This bold attempt not only demonstrates our innovative ability as a game development company, but also our extreme attention to product details and user experience.

Challenge

The challenge was to design a new opening and closing damping effect. The client wanted to give a unique opening and closing experience to the wooden box.

Since there are two materials for the jewelry lanyard, and their sizes and materials are too big, we designed a new liner bite for the client. We also unified the color of the inner liner to improve the product’s integrity.
